Special Collections and Archives staff are excited to be working with the School of Humanities on our forthcoming Dymock Poets conference on 6-7 June. A wide variety of excellent speakers can be heard on the Saturday followed by the premier of our MA Creative and Critical Writing students’ play at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. Sunday sees the opportunity to travel to Dymock and partake in a guided walk, taking in the sights of the Dymock countryside just as the poets did a century ago.
The Special Collections and Archives will be displaying treasures from our Dymock Poets Special Collection, including original documents written by the poets and rare first editions of their works.
The conference is taking place in conjunction with the Friends of the Dymock Poets society and Edward Thomas Fellowship. Places are open to staff, students, society members and the wider public. For booking details please visit http://store.glos.ac.uk
